EMBRACE THE

SUCK

Learn to boldly embrace your failures and struggles so you can turn them into the foundation of your success!

"I have another theory. Don't be afraid of mistakes because the only original thing we ever do is make mistakes. You can be taught how to do something perfectly right, but only you can screw it up in your own inimitable way."

- Billy Joel

Why Are You Telling Me to…

EMBRACE THE

SUCK

This saying might seem counter intuitive on what you expect to get out of therapy, and…

HEAR ME OUT!!

Life is not always rainbows and unicorns.

Life is uncomfortable a lot.

Life is often overwhelming.

Frankly, life sucks at times.

During our work together I will provide a space for you to EMBRACE THE SUCK!

In order for you to do that, you need a safe place to process changes, vent about interactions with others, discuss trauma, and express all your emotions in a healthy way (and not just the ones that paint this “perfect” picture). That can look like going for a walk, punching my speedbag, throwing the ball around, and/or coloring one of my many different profanity coloring sheets!

My approach

Oh hey there! I’m Katie.

I want to start off by saying props to you on taking that first step and acknowledging you need a change. Having that insight is a key component as we embark on this therapeutic relationship. Within this relationship, my role is to help you uncover who you are, determine where you want to go in life, and how to manage all the pivots you will have along the journey.

The perception of what therapy looks like is that I will be sitting in a cardigan sweater in my leather chair, while you sit on my couch spilling all your darkest moments and secrets because you are struggling with your mental health. That is not the case with how I conduct therapy. I am often told that I am different from most therapists and I embrace it.
